The Coaches:
Mrs. Fidler and Ms. Furnanz both contributed to the site in individual, but equally profitable ways. Mrs. Fidler was the pages' first and primary proofreader, while Ms. Furnanz dealt with any technical problems.  Both were invaluable in the creation of Genetic Disorders.
Collaboration:
Many of our team members’ hard work and strong opinions helped to contribute to our website.  Upon beginning our website, we found that we all are very different with unique interests and ideas.  We were also all very opinionated!  However, we soon discovered that with a little effort, we could combine each of our strengths to the betterment of our team.  Beth, our captain, used her research and writing skills to produce accurate and well-written information for many of the genetic disorders.  AnnMarie, team cocaptain, had a good knowledge of both writing and technology, both of which she shared with the team.  Michael’s extensive knowledge of the technological aspects necessary in a website proved essential in our team’s development.  Both Avery and Sarah, 7th graders, were hard workers, but we had to try very hard to remember to include them in decision making.  All of the 8th graders were determined to do this since they remembered problems from the previous year’s teams.  Avery and Sarah brought enthusiasm and a willingness to work hard that soon became infectious!  Despite harsh and often demanding deadlines, the team was finally able to merge their strong personalities and to work hard to produce an extremely interesting and educational website.
