Achondroplasia exhibits few symptoms, but the ones it does produce are prominent.
· Stature abnormally short
· Femur and humorous bone short
· Legs in a curved shape
· Elbows and knees loosely extended
· Head looking disproportional compared to body size
· Forehead prominent in height
· Spine curved
· Hands with an unusually large space between ring and middle fingers
Many of these symptoms are external and visible instead of the usual internal symptoms exhibited by other genetic disorders.
