More Information

Many measures have been taken over the years to keep America safe from illegal immigrants.  Numerous laws have been written including the Immigration and Nationality Act (1952) and the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act (1996.) Two other forces targeted at protecting America are the Border Patrol and the Coast Guard. The Border Patrol attempts to secure the borders with Mexico and Canada, and the goal of Coast Guard is to enforce tariffs, keep pirates from hindering shipping, and keep out illegal imports and smuggled goods.
