Scottish immigrants were some of the first immigrants who came to America.  Over 250,000 Scots immigrated between 1715 and 1776.  The second wave of Scottish immigrants came during the late 1800s and many famous government leaders came out of this wave of Scots. 

The Scottish were thought of as great fighters and hard workers.  Although sometimes they were considered somewhat barbaric, many Scottish became great intellects.
