Jesus is the most important figure in Christianity. He is considered to be the son of God and God himself. Jesus was born in the city of Bethlehem, which is near Jerusalem. Bethlehem is now in the West Bank. His first miracle was his birth. He was put in Virgin Mary’s womb when she was still a virgin. On the day of his birth, three wise men came from the east of Bethlehem. They arrived at Jerusalem and met with Herod, who was the King at that time. When he heard they went to see the “King of the Jews”, Herod did not approve that. He told the wise men to go find him and to come back to tell him where this “King of the Jews” is. The wise men did not come back because they saw in a dream that Herod wanted to harm Jesus. This made Herod furious, so he ordered that all children under the age of two to be killed. Jesus survived. People followed his teachings, thus leading to the beginning of Christianity.
