Child Labor in India

Child labor is one of the worst things in India. Poor children work to support their families and some parents expect their children to help their business or to continue their business.

There is 90% of children in labor who are from rural places where it's very hard to live with their parents' only working. According to a study, there are over 44 million child laborers. As there are millions of child working, varieties of jobs and risk of jobs because of its environments and places are there too.

Type of jobs for laborers in India are jobs such as newspaper work, miners, factory worker, salesman, households, industries, etc. Apparently there is sex role going on type of jobs in India. The female kids usually perform household, industries, agriculture to earn money. However if they're helping out their own family, it would be taking care of younger siblings, cooking, and cleaning as an example. The male kids mostly perform skilled, trained, physical work which has better pay. So obviously, the country prefers male kids for working.

As there are varieties of jobs, there are risks with all the jobs that I have mentioned. First of all, some kids who has job of newspaper worker, they risk their lives by jumping on and off of moving trolley cars just to sell one newspaper. Kids who work as a miner, hey have problems of diseases in lung because of the dirty dusts, and kids who worked with gas, match, and sweeping had problems in their lungs because of the air they breathed in. And also, working for huge amount of time gets their body tired which leads to other health problems. In other hand, just working hard for all day will also make few cuts and bruises too.
