Of course this is not the way to combat global warming, it will just make a bigger problem, rising seas. The way it will do that is that as more and more greenhouse gases go into the atmosphere, more sunlight will be trapped on Earth. Also, the water will absorb more heat from the sun and heat up as well. This will melt the ice and rise the sea level. Also, the greenhouse gases do not beat up the solar rays, they form a layer that traps them in the planet. Even though we try , to stop global warming, the problem it getting larger and larger, faster than we can repair the damage its done. Some scientists speculate that the problem might become irreversible if it progresses in the next few years. We might not be able to stop global warming, but we can slow it down.
