Where did Buddhism come from?
Buddhism was introduced by the people in Persia, Central Asia, and India. In this time Buddhism was at first like an insignificant culture. It was mostly practiced by immigrants or foreign corruption of Taoism. This is how it drew more attention from native followers. This was in the year of 25-317 C.E. This was around the period of the fall of the Western Qin Dynasty and the dawn of the later Han Dynasty when China was introduced Buddhism.
Buddhism was introduced into Japan by a visitor from Korea around the year of 550 A.D. Buddhism spread so quickly in a strong country named Yamataikoku, tuled by a woman, Himiko, who unified small countries and villages a couple of hundred years before Buddhism was introduced. Sadly, there was a war between two strong familed named Mononobe and Saga. The Mononobe family wanted to keep Buddhism out of Japan and the Saga family Buddhism in Japan. The Mononobe family lost the war against the Saga family and Buddhism was able to enter Japan
Buddhism was also introducedinto America. It came from the East side of the world such as China, Japan, and India. Buddhism become more popular in America because more people from the East came to America and there are more books to teach Buddhism.
Architecture
The first school of Buddhist architecture was back to 255 B.C. when the Mauyan Emperor Asoka established Buddhism at hte state religion of his large kingdom. Asoka contructed serveral Stupas, which are important mounds of brick commemorative of the Buddha. He has also constructed stone pillars. Asoka died in the year 232 B.C
Architecture in Korea
The Stupa and or pagoda are structures that are objects of worship. These objects of worship are an important part of the Buddhist religious ceremonies. The stupa started to be carved inside caves around northern India of the year 100 B.C. Later pictures of Buddha were carved into hard rock. One of the first stupas of China were carved from rock inside caves in a square form.
