The Darfur conflict is not an internationally recognized genocide. Despite mass murders and rapes it has not been labeled genocide. The UN investigators described the situation as lacking genocidal intent. The US on the other hand, said instantly it wa a genocide. The MRG claimed that the conflict was completley preventable and that little was learned from the Rwandan genocide. The death toll ranges from fifty thousand, and four hundred fifty thousand on estimated scales.
