This section is about new transportation systems. There are elevated railways, cars and trucks that can run on tracks, and a lot of other cool things, but in order to learn about all of these wonderful things, you have to read below.
Autoshuttle This is a clear, large, box that you put your car in and it takes you where you want to go. The Autoshuttle runs on tracks. It speeds along, up to 112 mph. All you have to do is tell it your desired motorway exit, and you pay with a credit card. The fuel for this shuttle is cheaper than the gas for our cars today.
AVT Train AVT Trains run along the side of freeways and carry you and your car. It has air conditioning, restrooms, and entertainment centers. They’re elevated railways. The shuttles pick up parked cars from departure stations and catch up with a passing train. It moves the car (with person in it) and moves to the train. Each guide way transports over 10,000 cars per hour! This entire process is done with computers. This whole process takes about 15 seconds!
Bladerunner This is a truck capable of running on tracks or on the regular road. This truck helps avoid problems for roads because it runs on rails also. It can also carry vehicles. It is under construction in the U.K.
Megarail The Megarail is like a shuttle that runs on an elevated railway. It can go up to 120 mph. It reduces a lot of traffic and has a high capacity. It can also carry cargo like the ground trains do.
Flexitrain The Flexitrain uses small, electric vehicles. These are small, speed limited vehicles, but they are not at all boring. For longer distances of travel, these cars may be formed into mechanically coupled platoons which have a high speed hands-free travel under automated control. It has a very low cost of implementation, it reduces a lot of pollution, it makes a stress-free ride, and improves road safety.
Maxi-RUF The Maxi-RUF is a 6 meter vehicle. It has room for ten passengers and has a chauffer. There is no room for standing passengers. It is equipped with hybrid/electric or fuel cell motors. It has unlimited range on the normal road. When it is on the rail, it can recharge its batteries. When it runs in the suburban areas, it uses the hybrid motor to give medium power and the battery for delivering power for accelerations.
