By: Sarah

This section is about the future of music. It tells about new music players, types of music, and other things. In order to take the quiz below and learn some awesome new things, you must read the section below.

Yamaha RS7000

The Yamaha RS7000, which is said to be the most intuitive, musically powerful, easy to use, and newest  integrated sampling sequencer to ever hit the market. It has everything such as over 1000 synch voices, 63 drum kits to 6 filter types and 18 assignable knobs that allow you to twist your way to dance floor fame. The RS7000 has every professional music production especially in dance, techno, Hip-Hop, R&B, and ambient styles!! Digital file-sharing technologies—Napster and its offspring— are now undermining the established economics of music.

Kenwood Sovereign Entré

Kenwood’s Sovereign Entré home jukebox has been available since 2002, and is like a portable jukebox. When you play a CD, it rips or burn the songs into a built-in hard drive to make your own music library. You can also add “client” boxes in other rooms around your house, but will still get all the songs saved in the main jukebox! It can also send photo and video content from the jukebox to your television.

DJammer

The new DJammer, created by DJ Gavin O’Connor, allows a DJ to make the distinctive scratching noise without slowing down or speeding up the vinyl disc. It has a wireless connection, so the DJ can make the sound from anywhere in the room by signal.

Internet Music

In the future of music on the internet, there may be free music. Many people are asking the same question at the same time ‘Will it be fair to the recording artists?’ There will be Internet CD companies that will handle CD’s recorded by full-time artists. People will be able to listen to a download and be able to choose if they want to buy the high quality CD. MP3.com is slowly making its way toward this idea. Also, Internet music companies will be handling individual audio files for anyone who wants to create music.
