The man, or rather machine of the year is the computer in the Time magazine in 1982!
Introduction

Dear Visitor, welcome to the webpage!

50 yers ago (8 February 1957) the father of the computer János Neumann died and in this year the microprocessor invented by András Gróf (Andrew Grove) is 35 years old. If anything then the computer is surely part of our global world. In recent years computer science has been developing more than ever.
With this webpage we want to show the world what did first of all the Hungarians do for computers and computer science, how they have found out always newer aspects for its development.
If reading the title of the page you ask who the Hungarians are and what they have got to do with computer science, then I would answer your question: the Hungarian is a nation in Central-Europe. The Hungarian inventors are famous all over the world. For example: János Irinyi (safety matches), Ede Teller (H-bomb) or Ernő Rubik (Rubic Cube).
For your other possible question you will find the answer on the webpage!

Have a nice browsing!
