How to make the ID: Larvae is worm-like, soft body, hard head. Adult is moth-like and brownish. The larvae construct hollow cases made of sand, twigs, rocks, crushed shells and carry the case with them or attach to rocks

Its Color: yellow, brown, green

How it reproduces: eggs are wrapped in a gelatin-like mass and are attached to submerged vegetation or logs.

Metamorphosis: Complete

It is food for: fish

Its food: larvae feed on algae, small bits of plant material, and animals; some species build nets where they catch drifting food

Indicator: Large range of pollution tolerance

Size: up to 1 inch
