How to make the ID: a single tail, 6 to 8 filaments on each side of the abdomen with gils near each filament. Adult has long wings that are folded down over the body.

Its Color: brownish

How it reproduces: female deposits eggs on overhanging vegetation; when eggs  hatch, the larvae fall into the water.

Metamorphosis: Complete

It is food for: larger predators.

Its food: adult aquatic macroinvertebrates, an aggressive predator.

Indicator: intolerant to pollution
