On the page of global perspective we will show you the perspective that we have about obesity. The world is not growing but the people on it are growing too big and too unhealthy. We will show you what we think and how we can change our world's fate.
Diversity
Our team is made up of six different members from two different schools. We began our project when our teammates began to notice the obesity rate of children began to rise at our schools. We discovered through research and writing that Obesity was a serious issue. As we continued to research we used some of our teammate's cultural background. We had a teammate with an Indian teammate. Her culture helped us with different recipes that people in that area cook and information on how the obesity level is in that country. We also had a teammate that had a culture related to Africa. She also gave us resources for recipes, cultural habits, and eating disorders of that area. We had four American teammates and we used each other's culture to help finish our content.
As we continued to complete our research we found that obesity isn't just a problem happens in just your neighborhood. But that it happens all over the world. Millions of people are obese and don't exercise. Modern technology such as computers and television distract kids and adults from a healthy lifestyle. We found many diseases that Obesity caused such cardiovascular disease and the most common disease that Obesity caused diabetes. Lots of people eat too much food that is unhealthy for the body. Nutrition was also so an important role in our website. We learned that eating a healthy diet was good for your body's development protection. Our main subjects that we wanted to show in our site were to show what obesity was, how does it happen, how is it happening around the world and how can you stop it from happening. Our team worked very hard to succeed these goals.
The cultures of our team helped us with the global relevance, the cultural habits, and the recipes that different cultures use. Some of our team members act differently from others because of their culture. Obesity happens all over the world and many people become unhealthy and do not exercise. Our team used our different cultures to complete our content.
Global Relevance
The effect of Obesity is very stressful and it happens all over the world. Every day millions of people sit in front of the TV and eat junk food instead of exercising. The issue of obesity is huge in America but happens every day in the world. Children take after their parents in every country and over eat or eat the wrong foods. Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America also struggle with the problem of Obesity. The diseases that Obesity causes affect everyone in the world. Many people around the world die each day from diabetes or stroke because of Obesity. This serious issue doesn't just happen in your neighborhood, your city, not even just your country. Obesity can happen to anyone in the world. The obesity rates around the world increase with each year. The habit of people eating unhealthy foods needs to stop. Serious and painful diseases occur when people choose to eat wrong foods. In order to have a healthy body people must eat a healthy diet and exercise. Fast-Food restaurants, poverty, and modern technology are all big dilemmas in preventing Obesity. Fast-Food Industries have spread across the globe. For example if you were in poverty wouldn't it be easier to buy a Big Mac for a dollar than to use four dollars to buy some vegetables. Technology distracts especially kids. Video games, ipods, television, and computers, distract kids from exercising and may lead them to become obese. The global relevance of our site is to let people all around the world to that Obesity is a serious issue and it needs to be stopped!
