Food labels are on everything that we eat. People on diets are always looking on food labels. Food labels show what is in the food you are eating and how much is in the food.


Things to know about food labels




1. The first thing to look at on the Nutrition Label is the serving size. This shows how many servings are in the food you are just about to eat. It is important to look at the label to see the servings you need because by looking at the servings on the package, you should know how much you would eat from the package of food. It is very important to pay much attention to the serving sizes. For an example, if one serving of soup is equaled to one cup, but if you ate the whole package you would eat two cups; that doubles the nutrition's and calories.
2. Calories are how much energy you would get from the product section is were you direct your body to either gain, maintain, or loose there are 250 calories in one serving of chili. In one serving of chili there is 107 calories from fat, which is almost half of the calories if you ate the whole package you would 500 calories and 214 calories from flatland eating too many calories lead to overweight and obesity.

3. Eating saturated fat, Trans fat, cholesterol or sodium may cause a risk of despises like cancer, heart diseases, and/or high blood pressure.
Almost all of Americans do not get enough vitamin A, vitamin AC, Calcium, Dietary Fiber, and iron in their diets. Eating these, you can improve your health and reduce the risk of many diseases and harsh conditions.
