Orange growers find that they can use up to 40% less chemicals on the crop by using genetic engineering. They use this technique to grow chemically safe food and they use far less pesticides yet they grow a bigger supply than without genetic engineering. They are far more healthy than the normal chemical covered oranges. Plant breeding is NOT Genetic Engineering. Changing 1 gene in something to improve it by cloning the amount of gene of anything specific that you can imagine and using it to improve it is Genetic Engineering. Also, scientists are trying to get a specific gene that is resisting diseases like greening and canker.
