Famous Killers

Not all criminals kill because of anger or revenge. Some just kill because they can stop themselves. They don’t now why they choose to take a life of another. This page will shed some light on the interesting world of the criminal brain.

There are many theories of what makes a criminal, a criminal. Some suggest that an offender becomes violent as a result of a medical issue. Many famous explanations include: physical abuse, vicious battering, and sexual abuse as children, adoption and or abandonment as children.

Psychotic symptoms, especially paranoia are also commonly blamed. Although there are many different theories, some very popular ones put the blame on the amygdale, which produces emotions. This part of the brain is believed not to be functioning properly in psychopaths. Therefore psychopaths are a lot more likely to re offend then a regular person who just killed because of some strong emotion because psychopaths feel know emotions. They just kill.

To them it’s as easy as squishing a pesky mosquito is for us. Another part of the brain which is commonly blamed is the prefrontal cortex which is the portion of the brain that helps people makes effective decisions. This may explain why some killers think it’s better to take someone’s life away then to let them face the “big and scary” world all by themselves.

Other killers like this feel that they also have to take the life of another for religious purposes. Example: “Jesus told me kill this person because they have sinned.” Sometimes people with brain dysfunctions choose the most obscure reasons to murder. Example: “I killed my son because he wouldn’t eat his dinner”.

After reading this you may think: “Why not just give the psychopaths some medicine? Would it make them all better?” You’re right they can just take some drugs but not all criminal believe that there is something wrong with them in the first place, so they refuse to take the medication.

Others take it but get reactions or the medication doesn’t for at all. The human brain is not that simple. In fact it is one of the most complicated machines known to humanity. That’s why many surveys and studies have been done to try and prove that a specific part of the brain is to blame but nobody knows this for sure. Maybe the brain is not the one to blame at all. Maybe it’s stress or a heart condition. You be the judge of that…
