Dear Diary,
Today was a pretty good day for me. I don't know if Mother is ever going to let me have another rest after this, I told her I was close to collapsing and she told me I could lie down for a while. I feel so horrible for Neela, but I suppose what's happening to her is just a look into the future for me. I don't know how she does it. I would go insane. The family is said to be huge, and they are quite wealthy, so I'm sure that the lifestyle isn't too bad, but when your a personal maid for them it's probably not so easy. Neela and I have always been very close sisters and we really miss each other already. I will get used to this life without her, but as for now I miss her terribly. Well, Mother is shouting for me to get back to helping her so I need to go. I will write again soon.

Dear Diary,
Sorry I haven't written to you in a few days, but things have really been busy. I have been tending to Mother non-stop. She has been in a great deal of pain. I too have been suffering with our loss. Although Mother and I can have fun too, trying to take our mind off the bad things happening. Yesterday we made idli, it was delicious. It took us most of the morning and we laughed and talked, it was quite enjoyable actually. Ever since Neela has been gone, Mother has been my only company. I've missed her like crazy, don't get me wrong, but Mother and I do get along really well. I don't know what else to tell you, Diary. My week has been good so far, and I hope I can write to you soon.

Dear Diary,
I'm glad I actually found some time to write to you. It's been really busy around the house this week. Mother has been getting better and going out a lot more, so I think she is doing better, or else she is just not telling me something. I've been so happy lately because she and Casha get to hang out a lot more. I think Mother has got her eye on someone in town. I don't know his name yet though, he just moved here, but trust me I will find out. Speaking of crushes, I kind of like this boy, he goes to my school. His name is Rahmain, he is really nice, and funny. He does tease me sometimes, but Mother says that boys tease you when they like you. It's not like it matters, sooner or later Mother is going to tell me that I am getting married to a complete stranger. Sometimes I really wish I didn't have this life.

Dear Diary,
Things have been going really good around here. Mother has been in such a good mood, but that does make me think that she is really up to something. I really can't ask her, because if she is just happy then that would probably upset her. Some of the rooms in the house are getting really dirty between all the school work I've been doing, and going over to the neighbors to have dinner, they have a son you know, and he's pretty cute. He has the cutest smile, and he's very nice I'm glad Mother introduced us. Tomorrow I get to go back to school again. It's going to be a Happy Monday. I wonder if he is going to be attending my school... I guess I will have to wait and find out.
