Buddhism Christianity is the biggest religion in the world. About one third of the world consideres themselves to be Christians. That is about 2.1 billion Christians scattered throughout the world. Through the years the religion just keeps on growing.

About one tenth of the population of Christians are of the Orthodox faith. In 2005 there were about 219,501,000 people of the Orthodox faith throughout the country.

Right now around half of the total Christian population are Catholics. In 2005 there were about 1,118,992,00 Catholics around the world.

Almost one fifth of the population of Christians in the world are Protestants right now (Protestants include Methodist, Presbyterian, and Lutheran). In 2005 there 375 million Protestants in the world.

All parts of Christianity are growing in size right now but are losing in percentage to other religions in the world because of population getting bigger and bigger in the world.
