Food

Galore!!!

Food is a major part of rodeo experience. Before the rodeo actually begins there is a Barbeque Cook-off. People bring in big cookers and compete for the many different awards. Tickets are available if you want to judge for yourself!

You can buy nearly any food from the rodeo food stands. There are regular concession stands as well as areas where local restaurants serve entrees. The main reason food stands were made were to get extra funds for the rodeo to do their shows and events, so next time you go to the rodeo and are hungry, and just remember you are contributing to a good cause.

This is me eating funnel cakes.
Funnel cakes sort of taste like doughnuts.

On our team field trip to the rodeo we were able to eat some rodeo food (which includes hotdogs, corndogs, nachos etc.). We were surprised to see a lot of food stands going down at least the length of a football field! My favorite food in the food stands was the funnel cakes (mmmm, funnel cakes).

Roasted corn on a stick with lots of butter, sounds good.
