Educational Exhibit

In the rodeo exhibit hall you can see many educational things. There are exhibits for the contests that are held in conjunction with the rodeo like the art and quilt exhibits pictured below. You can see cowboys, trick riders and clowns do demonstrations and they hold Q&A conferences, too This is part of the Rodeo University. There are a lot of people there that demonstrate skills and equipment associated with farming too. At the HLS&R we saw a demonstration on how to weave cloth, incubators where real chickens were hatching, as well as Dairy equipment.

We watched some women weaving cloth.

On our field trip to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, we saw lots of things that were fun and also educational. My favorite exhibit was the quilt exhibit. We sat staring at the quilts and then we went and actually saw women weaving cloth out of real sheep wool! It was so fun that we actually walked out beaming. We also learned about the animals and watched other kids show their calves!
