It is located on an island in the Atlantic. On the northwest the Denmark-fold is separating Iceland from Greenland. The ocean's influence is big on the south and the west parts of the country, it has dissected shores. The mountains above the snow-line are covered with Europe's biggest icecap. Iceland has hundreds of small or bigger volcanos, leafless crater-fields and vulcanic geysers on the south.

Iceland is an agricultural country, fishing and processing of fish are appointing it's character. Reykjavik, the capital is also an important port-town.
