Mammals

About 50 million years ago, some terrestrial mammals began to make transitions from live on land to live in sea. When the animals were in the sea, they found new sources of food and plenty of space. All mammals are placed in the class Mammalia. Mammals that live in the ocean are called marine mammals. Examples of mammals are humans, dolphins, and sharks. There are about 80 different types of cetacean. Mammals come from many types of place including the ocean and on earth.
