Reporting With Our English Teacher, COURTNEY WICKHAM Q: Where are you from? I came from Nebraska, USA. I had most recently lived in Ukraine, though. Q: When did you come to Turkey? What was your thought about Turkey before you came here? I arrived in August 2002. I had heard that Turkey was a passionate land full of rich history. Q: Did your opinions change after you came to Turkey? No, my idea was supported. However, I’ve discovered so much about Turkish culture. Q: What did you like and what you didn’t like in Turkey? I like; meze(Turkish food), tradional music and fantastic travels. I didn’t like traffic, roads and football fanaticsm. |

Reporting With Our School General Director, TONY PAULUS Q: Where do you come from? I lived in Massachusets and California and I came from the University of Michigan. Q: When did you first come to Turkey and what was your first reaction? I came to Turkey in 2004, December and I was very amazed and surprised. Q: What was your thought about Turkey before you came here? I didn’t know a lot of Turkey, and to learn something I read the book “Crescent and Star”. The ex. general director Mr.Chandler adviced me to read that book. Q: If you’re asked any information about Turkey, what is your magic word about Turkey? Harika.(Wonderful) Q: Have you learned any Turkish recipies?(food) We took Turkish recipies lessons with my wife. We’ve learned to make some foods. Q: Have you been to any Turkish nights? We’ve been to one. We learned Turks’ traditional dances. Q: How would you introduce Turkey to a person who will come to Turkey? I would say you will love Turkey and you have to see historical places such as Ephesus, Capadocia and Istanbul.
