Lindsey Jacobellis (born 08/19/85)
Born in Danbury, CT, Jocobellis took up the sport due to her older brother, Ben. He competed in snowboard cross and Jocobellis took up an interest then. After some practice she decided to take up the sport at a young age of 10. She then furthered her skills at Stratton Mountain School before taking part in the Grand Prix. She graduated from the school in 2003.
Her achievements:
- Two-time U.S. Snowboard Grand Prix SBX champion (2002, 2004)
- Won two World Junior Championships: 2002 Snowboard Cross (SBX) and 2003 Halfpipe
- Three-times SBX Winter X Games gold medallist (2003-2005)
- 2004 World Cup overall champion in SBX and halfpipe
- 2005 World, U.S. National champion in SBX
- 2006, won a silver in her debut of the Olympic Winter Games
Seth Wescott ( 06/28/76)
Born in Durham, North Carolina, he learned snowboarding at the young age of 10. He trained on the slopes at Carrabassett Valley Academy and started competitive snowboarding at the age of 14.
