By the middle of the XX. century in many europian and asian countries social ideas were gained on. In most countries by straining of this ideology a communist dictatorship has been come into power based on the sample of Soviet Union. Of course there were a lot of distinction between the different countries and different times, but in most of autarchic systems there was only one political party in the (formal) parliament and there was a personality cult around the dictator. The two main forces of the system which have supported that were the political police and lots of actions at law where the political opponent of the system has been eliminated by illegal dooms. There were rebellions in most of countries, but the extand system has beaten down and avenged them.

The same autarchic system came into power in Hungary at the center of Europe. Hungary has lost the two wolrd wars, so to 1945 its economics has gone to crisis. After the economical consolidation there were only one party in the parliament, and a personality cult has been created around Rákosi Mátyás [Mathias Rakosi]. In Hungary the supporter of the political force were the special politic police called AVH (State Security Authorities) and the conception actions at law. Monumental developing of heavy industry and accomodating of the Red Army consumed the resources of Hungary and soured everydays of people. Against this political system there was a revolution in autumn of 1956, but it was knocked of by the soviet intervention. After that the regime officiated more temperately e.g. conception actions were catched up and banned. But the real alteration came by declining of Soviet Union and by change of regime. In that time the Eastern Block has been broken up, and after that in 1991 Soviet Union went to pieces.

Nobody has been able to know what does it mean to live in the Eastern Block and what was the real ideological and economical background during socialism. In the West everybody knows nothing because of the iron curtain, but in the East everybody knows propaganda informations and unreal statistics. But nowadays real data can be accessible so discovering facts seems to be possible. We hope an emotionally independent generation like ours can look at this era detachedly and can show what does it the second half of the XX. century in Hungary.
