Japanese people eat different kinds of food to us. They eat
dishes like sushi, rice bowls, domburi, kare raisue(curry),
onigiri and fried rice etc.
Sushi : Raw fish wrapped in dry seaweed called Nori.
Rice bowls : A bowl of rice, which can be served with lunch
Onigiri : Rice balls wrapped in seaweed called Nori. It is
slightly salted and has got food in the middle like
umeboshi (pickled Japanese apricot), katsuobushi (dried
bonito shavings) and tuna or salmon.
Kare raisue (curry) : Rice, which is cooked with curry
sauce. It can be served with toppings like tonkatsu. Kare
raisue is a very popular dish.
Fried rice : Fried rice has been introduced from China. It
is a suitable dish for using left over rice.
