Transfiguration Church

(1750-s - 1778)

  The initiator of the building was Irkutsk merchant Ignatiev. He and other merchants donated money for the construction. In 1792 the church was consecrated. Famous Decembrists Volkonsky and Trubetskoy lived in the parish of this church from 1845 until 1855. The style is a combination of classical and baroque.
