Night clubs

  The club culture of our city is developing every year, a lot of new clubs appeared last years.
  Irkutsk has clubs of different kind. We suppose that the amount of clubs is enough to enable everyone choosing something really appropriate. Each club has several dance floors and music ranges from electric to pop style.

“Akula” (The shark)

  "Akula” (translates as "shark"), being recently opened, has already become popular with young people due to its scandalous reputation. Different students’ parties are always organized there. The club itself is situated on the bank of the Angara river. When walking down the embankment it is rather difficult not to notice the building of the club. The point is that its design is original and attractive. It was planned according to the name of the club - the monument, situated in front of the club, represents the shoal of sharks. The walls are painted white–blue, for the style of the building is associated with ocean.
  The parties, ruled by visitant DJs, are popular with the audience. It’s quite a problem to get a ticket to the party of this kind; they’re sold out long before in advance.
  The club also has it’s own bar that offers not only various beverages, but also something to snack.
  The night in this club will be unforgettable!

“Object 01”

  Though the club "Object 01" seems to be small, it’s rather cosy. The design of “Object 01” is specific. It was decided to create the atmosphere of a fire station. There are fire-extinguishers and pails hanging on the brick walls. The outside wall of the building has the graffito representing the name of the club.
  “Object 01” has several dance floors like many other clubs. The first one is for those who prefer pop music. Due to this style the atmosphere is always noisy and cheerful.
  The second dance floor is not only for dancing to the electronic and up-today rhythms, it offers some live-shows as well. The performances of violinists, saxophonists and singers are always appreciated by the public.
  The club often organizes some thematic parties dedicated to different styles of music.
  Due to affordable prices a great number of students spend nights just there.

“Megapolis”

  It’s not a problem to find this club because of the big floodlight placed on the club roof. Its beams light up the night sky of the city. The specific feature of the club in the summer period is a dance-floor on the roof. The dance floors differ from each other not only by music style, but also by size. If one doesn’t like to be in a crowd of people there is an opportunity to choose the small one.
  Organizers of parties always invite some super-stars.
  What is more, “Megapolis” is the host of the yearly club awards ceremony “The Silver Mega”. Instituted in 2001, it attracts a big public. The ceremony has several nominations: “The best fashion designer”, “The best model”, “ The best club ballet” and some others. The special silver statuette is given to the winners as a reward. The awards ceremony usually goes with concert or fashion show. It is a big and bright event in the club life that is worth visiting.

“Stratosphere”

  It was the first modern night-club appeared in Irkutsk, which is situated in the centre of the city. Many changes in its design have already been carried out. Now the colors of the building are bright pink and blue, so it attracts the passers-by.
  During the long time of its existence the club got its own patrons and traditions; this fact determines the audience of the club.
  “Stratosphere” collaborates with many radio stations of the city, so one has a possibility to win the ticket to one of the club’s parties. Though the ticket’s prices are not low, a great number of young people regularly come there.
  The club also offers playing skittles and trying fortune in casino. If one is tired of noisy atmosphere, there is a bar that can provide with beverages of different sorts.
