"Moskovskie Vorota" Triumphal Arch

  This arch was built in 1811 to honor the Emperor Alexander I's accession to the throne. It was one of the four main gateways, leading to the west ! that's why it was called the Moscow Gateway. WWI and the political situation prevented the arch from being reconstructed, and it was finally demolished in 1925 to 1928.
