Industrial College

  The college was opened in 1866 and was supported by the owners of gold-mines and distilleries as well as by city authorities. Specialists of different technical professions were prepared there. In the Soviet period, on the foundation of the college building, a machine-tool plant was built. Now this building houses the Biology Faculty of Irkutsk State University.
