Triumphal Arch named Amurskie Vorota

Triumphal Arch named Amurskie Vorota

The arch was built to honour General-Governor Muraviev when he returned from the Amur River after signing the Aigun Pact with China, which fixed the boundaries between the Russian Empire and China. It was located in 1858 not far from Cross Mountain. It was reconstructed in 1891, and then in 1920 it was demolished.
