Are you a brand-loyalist? Do you shiver at the thought of abandoning your favorite perfume? Well then, speak up and take action!



Write a letter or email to your brand company and tell them the effects that cosmetics/toiletries products can have on their consumers’ health. Also know this—there are safer, natural ingredients that are able to serve as alternatives to what they have. They are, in a majority of cases, not backed up in a corner! Technological advances are great and with this new technology, they can only create better ingredients, not worse. Natural is beautiful, but incorporating nature and technology would be, in some people's opinion, even better.



For example: extracting fish collagen to put into products- great! Putting parabens into products- not so!

Dear Brand,



I was recently educated about all the harmful ingredients that are present in your products. Did you know that these ingredients have the potential to cause cancer, disrupt endocrine systems, tamper with a baby’s development, and more? I love your products, but this is simply unbelievable!



You are a company with many scientists working for them. Why not have them develop a new, better formula for your products? One that is healthier and safer? This new generation is connected by technology. Sooner or later, they will find out about the ingredients in these products. Please consider this: organic foods and “natural” household products are booming in the economy. The needs and expectations of the consumers are growing, so why aren’t you rushing to meet them?



If you decide to take a chance and reformulate your products, then you will be looking to the future—for both our health and our environment.
