How to Get Around

This site makes navigation extremely simple. The top of the page gives the links for the sections and sub-sections. The bandwidth-rich version, though, is recommended.

What is Thinkquest?

Thinkquest is a very respected and mature Internet competition that pits students to build the most best educational website. Thinkquest has recieved thousands of website that hope to be the best of its year. Our website has been enrolled in the 2005-2006 competition.

What kind of browser should I use?

The website is viewable in all the newest web browsers. Ideally, the media-rich and text-only versions should be seen in the newest browsers such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, or Netscape. Internet Explorer Users: Internet Explorer might display a message saying that the browser wants to protect you by removing 'active content'. This 'active content' is information such as the random fact and you should allow this 'active content' by clicking on the bar and saying Allow blocked content...

What is the difference between the media-rich and text-only versions of the website?

Our team basically wanted everyone with an internet connection to be able to view this website. Our team decided that making two versions of the website would allow people with slower internet connections to also be able to view the website. The text-only version of the website does not have any images or the Interact section to keep viewers with slow internet connections to view the website. Our team also worked hard so that the media-rich version of the website was not full of unnecessary images to keep the website running smoothly and quickly. For some of the video, our team decided to offer even higher resolution versions of the video for the faster internet connections and the optimal viewing experience.
