Pluto is the farthest planet from the sun, 3664 million miles to be exact! Fascinating Facts: It is only 1430 miles in diameter (around the surface). One rotation takes seven days. One revolution around the sun takes 249 years! It spins the opposite direction of earth, and is the only planet yet to be explored with spacecraft. Our own moon is bigger than Pluto.
