Mount
saint Helen erupted May 18, 1980 in Washington. A man who lived by Mount Saint
Helens was told by scientists that he had to move because it was going to erupt.
He did not believe them. Not long after that it erupted and he died. It took
maybe 7 years to build the area around the volcano back up. After the eruption
the top of Mount Saint Helen was blown off. Many people were hurt or even killed.
Houses were destroyed and lives were emptied. Once the city was rebuilt people
moved on with their lives, but they never forgot the day Mount Saint Helen came
to town. |
