We are a group of third grade students from Magna, Utah. Our teacher chose us to be members of the Thinkquest team. We chose to do our website about natural disasters because we thought it was important for people to be aware of what could happen. Natural disasters can happen anytime and anywhere, people should know what to do in case something happens near them.
We first met as a team and we brainstormed ideas for a website topic. We had some difficulities, but finally came to a decision. After we decided on natural disasters we talked about the different natural disasters we could cover in our website. We each took one natural disaster and researched it. We found out what causes them and the effects after. We also learned safety tips for each natural disaster. After we researched and wrote our information we were each in charge of creating our own webpages and finding activities.
We learned that natural disasters effect many people. We know that we can't do anything to stop a natural disaster, but we can be prepared. We also learned how to make webpages and to work together as a team. We worked really hard and had some fun at the same time. We hope you like it and learn something new.
