This is a look at the 22 animals housed in the Lost Temple display. They range from the Amazon Tree Boa to the Vampire Bat. The Lost Temple is a display in the Range of the Jaguar Exhibit of the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens. As the name implies, this exhibit displays animals that live in the same geographic range as the jaguar, which is from the southern United States to southern South America. This display won the Exhibit of the Year Award from the American Zoo and Aquarium Association.

Inside you will find pictures and descriptions of the animals that are a part of the Lost Temple display. The animals in this display can be broken down into three main categories: mammals, reptiles, and amphibians. We will also take a look at the Mayan temples that the display is based on.
