About Us

Hi my name is Aden, and I have been in ThinkQuest for one year.  This is my first website.  Some of my friends talked me in to this. 

I researched soccer along with John.  I was my team's gopher, which means I did whatever they told me to, whenever they wanted it done.  I also helped to edit the pages, and found information on other sports records.  By working on this project I learned how to make pages in FrontPage.

I have a computer at home, but didn't really get to use it for ThinkQuest purposes because I joined the team later in the project year.

My hobbies are soccer and most other sports. 

Hi!  My name is John, and I have been in Thinkquest for one year.  I researched one of my favorite sports, soccer.  My partner for this topic was Aden.  I am my team's editor.  In case you don't know what that means, my job was to check to see if everything was ok (no broken links, all the pictures show up where they are supposed to, no typographical or grammatical errors, etc.).

By working on this site I learned many things.  I discovered how to use FrontPage, make hyperlinks, import and find pictures, locate information and work on an academic team.  It wasn't always easy to get along!  We had differences of opinions about what our topic should be, but we all worked it out in the end.

My hobbies include quiz bowl, soccer, and most other sports.  I like to hang out with my friends and have fun.

Hi!  I'm Eric.  My roles on the website were Head Researcher/Graphic Designer.  I helped find all of the images and chose the colors for the site.  I also proofed all of the pages to make sure all the links and images were working properly.  All of us helped with the research, but my area of expertise is basketball. 

This is my second website.  I created one last year about basketball called Shoot the Hoops.  If you want to know what it takes to be a professional basketball player, visit that site.  It has tons of information about what you need to do as a serious basketball player.

My hobbies are basketball (of course) and pretty much all other sports.

Hi!  I'm Kyle.  This is my first website.  I enjoy all sports, so I really liked working on this site. 

My job was to help with the research on hockey records.  I also looked for games that could be linked to from our site.  In addition, I went to the QUIA site and created a game about all of the records we reported.  I worked on this with Aden.  We made a quiz that you should really check out.

My hobbies are basketball and other sports.  In my free time, I like to hang out with my friends, tease my brother, and play the piano.  I am on a middle school quiz bowl team, and I love to compete. 

Hi, my name is Drew.   I have been in ThinkQuest for two years.  My job this year was to research football records.  I am my team's Graphic Designer. I basically had to find pictures and clipart for our site that was royalty free.  I also chose the colors and the way the site is laid out on the pages.

I have learned many things by participating in this activity.  I enjoy making websites and I have internet access at home.  My first attempt at making a website was last year, and I worked with Matt and Eric on the site Shoot the Hoops!  We were all very interested in basketball, so we enjoyed making that site, too.

My hobbies are all sports, chess, and reading.  I also compete on our middle school quiz bowl team.

Hi my name is Matt.  I have been in ThinkQuest for two years.  I researched basketball records for this site. I participated on a site last year, Shoot the Hoops!  That site provided information about how to become a professional basketball player. 

I am my team's web master, which means that I made most of the pages.  I also typed, researched, and helped to edit the pages.  My hobbies are basketball, reading and most other sports.

Mrs. W has been coaching ThinkQuest teams for the past eight years.  She is the gifted ed teacher/coordinator for our district.  Her role on the team was to advise, help select a topic, share her knowledge of software/hardware, and teach us about graphic design.  She also helped us learn how to cite our sources, locate reliable information and get permission to use photos/information.  Her hobbies include camping, reading and having fun with her boys.
