Our Site

Hi!  My name is John.  I was the artist for our site (I drew the pictures for our site).  Part of my job was to find cool pictures of snakes so that I could use them to draw my own pictures.  It was hard, but I like art so it was fun, too.  I also researched the Coastal Taipan, but I didn't type it because I am a slow typist.

This is my first website.  I learned how to save things in folders, how to scan and I learned a lot about snakes.

My hobbies are sitting in front of the TV vegging out,  football,  baseball,  and video games.

HI!  My name is Cameron.   I was the gopher for our site (he basically backs up people who are sick or not there.)  I also did research on the sawscaled viper and the beaked sea snake.   I did research on a lot of different snakes.  I also typed because I type faster than most people.

This is my first website.  I learned how to make pages and I learned how to paraphrase and summarize.  I learned a lot about snakes.

My hobbies are playing football, soccer, baseball, basketball, and playing video games.

Hi! My name is Jacob and I was the graphic designer.   I picked the colors and graphic ideas (buttons) for the site.  I made the first pages to see how things would look.  I helped find pictures of each snake for John to draw.  I also researched and typed about the Inland Taipan.

This is my first website, but I did make a page about Greek Mythology last year in gifted ed.  I learned how to research, find pictures, scan, edit, and quit messing around.

My hobbies are:  football and playing the Game Cube.  I  have a dog named Missy and a go kart.  I play the cello in orchestra.  I like to go swimming in the summer.

Hi!  My name is Eric.  I was the game master for the site.  I also did a lot of the research on the different snakes, typed it, and helped edit the pages.  I also made the Sources page.   I am a 4th grader.

This is my first website.   I learned how to put things I read into my own words.  learned how to use a scanner, and I learned how to make games at Puzzlemaker and QUIA!  I have the internet at home and I did some of my research there.

My hobbies are vegging out in front of the TV, playing video games, and basketball (I'm pretty good if I do say so myself).  I like to read the Harry Potter books.  I have read them all and seen the films.

Hi! My name is Holden.  I was the web master of this site. In other words, I made most of the pages, hyperlinked all the buttons to be sure they worked, and helped with quality checking.  The first thing I had to do was get information about the Malayan Krait and the Inland Taipan.

This website was very hard work.  I have internet at home, but our computer is old, so it doesn't work very well.  I did most of my research at school.  This is my first website.

As for hobbies, I play the violin in ochestra, love playing  my PS2, football, soccer, and baseball.  I want to be like Jerome Bettis.  I like him because he’s tough. I hope you liked our site.

Hi!  My name is Drake.  I was the editor for the site.  I did a lot of the research on the different snakes, typed (because I am a faster typist than most), helped draw the pictures and assisted with the games for our site.

This is my first website.  I learned that if I want to get something done, I can't goof around (my parents have been trying to teach me this for years!).  I learned how to put things I read into my own words.  I now know how to use a scanner, and I learned tons of things about snakes!  I have the internet at home and I did some of my research there.

My hobbies are reading, collecting frogs, learning spelling words and playing video games.  I like baseball and basketball.

Mrs. W has been coaching ThinkQuest teams for the past eight years.  She is the gifted ed teacher/coordinator for our district.  Her role on the team was to advise, help select a topic, share her knowledge of software/hardware, and teach us about graphic design.

She also helped us learn how to cite our sources, locate reliable information and get permission to use photos/information.
