Upward Bound Math & Science

Upward Bound Math Science (UBMS) is designed to help students recognize and develop their potential to excel in math or science. This program is limited to those students who wish to major in either math or science, in college. (“Purpose UBMS” 1)

Services provided by this program
• Summer programs of intensive math and science training;
• Year-round counseling and advisement;
• Exposure to university faculty who do research in math and science;
• Computer training; and

Participant-conducted scientific research under the guidance of a faculty member or graduate student serving as the participant's mentor.” (“Purpose UBMS” 1)
