Educational Talent Search

Educational Talent Search (ETS) helps individuals from less advantaged backgrounds gain college acceptance. The program provides counseling of any type necessary and encourages its students to graduate high school and advance to the college of their choice. ETS also encourages high school dropouts to reenter the school system and complete it. The goal of ETS is to reduce the number of high school dropouts while increasing the college acceptance rate for ETS participants into the college for their choice. (“Purpose ETS” 1)

 
• Academic, financial, career, or personal counseling including advice on entry or re-entry to secondary or post secondary programs
• Career exploration and aptitude assessment
• Tutorial services
• Information on post secondary education
• Exposure to college campuses
• Information on student financial assistance
• Assistance in completing college admissions and financial aid applications
• Assistance in preparing for college entrance exams
• Mentoring programs
• Special activities for sixth, seventh, and eighth graders
