The image sports give most people is weight loss, strength gain, increased endurance¡K But have you ever thought of sports relieving stress?

When you exercise, your body produce a kind of hormone called endorphins. They are formed within the body to help relieve pain and induce a feeling of happiness and relaxation. Release of endorphins can make you fall asleep faster, and may help in the reduction of high blood pressure.

We can find many advantages in joining extra-curricular activities. Sports relieve stress by letting you have fun. Also, the exercise helps work the muscles that are possibly stressed from school and home.

The benefits of sports go beyond relieving stress. We can gain things that we can use throughout the rest of our lives, for example good health, discipline, teamwork, time management... We also have the chance to express ourselves. Although most of us won't appear in the Olympics, we can find encouragement by achieving levels we set.
