There are many kinds of bus in Hong Kong. The top three bus companies
that are most popular are probably the Kowloon Motor Bus, the Citybus,
and the First Bus. |

The Kowloon Motor Bus, which
is also called the KMB, was first established in 1933, on the 13th
April, and they aim at “Pursuit of excellence”.
Now, the KMB’s network covers over the New Territories and the Kowloon
Peninsula, and also through the harbour tunnels to the Hong Kong Island.
It has about 4080 buses and 89% are air-conditioned. It also has about
three million passengers every day. |

The other company, the Citybus
(CTB), started to operate buses in 1979. It’s slogan is “A Good Citizen
for All”, and also aim at 1) Care for
and contribute to the community. 2) Enhance value for stakeholders. 3)
Deliver premier services to customers. 4) Provide a safe and comfortable
workplace for all company members. |

last but not least, the New
World First Bus, which is also called the NWFB, was established in
1998. It has now six hundred and ninety
four bus routes. During 2005 the whole year, they have about one hundred
and eighty million passengers. |
