Opening Ceremony: To start the conference, an opening ceremony was held at the Boston University auditorium. Boston University: From across the street and out my window, a Boston University building could be seen. Detour: Due to the snow in, many schools left the conference early to catch their flight. WHO: The World Health Organization held its conference in a classroom. After the lunch break, students made their way back in for another three hours Commonwealth: Commonwealth Avenue is the street that most of the Boston University campus lies on. Lunch Break: Commonwealth Avenue is also home to random artwork Floridians, such as myself, are not used to seeing. Guest Speaker: During the opening ceremony, a guest speaker who won the Pulitzer Prize for photo journalism spoke to the delegates. Transportation: The main mode of transportation around Boston is the “T.” The T is a subway/trolley system that makes routine stops on Commonwealth. UN Flag: As a nod to the organization we are modeling, the Model UN hung a UN flag on the balcony of the auditorium during the opening ceremony.
Welcome to Boston: After a two hour plane trip, the Wesley Chapel team arrived in Boston’s Logan Airport.
