Term Definition
Apartheid A policy of racial segregation in government.
Cease-fire An order that suspend or halts firing or military action 
Conflict Prevention Actions implemented to prevent suffering in the world and to resolve suffering in nations without the use of costly military efforts.

The main preventative measure to keep peace in the world today is preventive diplomacy. However, the UN has shown the world three other ways to prevent conflict over the years:

  1. preventive deployment;
  2. preventive disarmament;
  3. development projects in the context of a prevention strategy and humanitarian action.

 

Dissolution The final dispersion (as of an organization or nation)
Economic/trade sanction Restrictions or bans that interfere with a nations trading activity
Nationalize Seizing and controlling of (something)
Preventative Disarmament U.N. program that works to reduce the small arms in nations where peace is shaky.
Procurement The act of obtaining or gather (supplies, in this instance)
