Our Team

All Golden Bridges members joined together through their online school Florida Virtual School (FLVS). Ms. Sherry McAuliffe is an AP United States History teacher with FLVS who tells her students about Doors to Diplomacy every year. Felicia, Katie, and Ashley together formed the team Golden Bridges to teach about a history of foreign relations through the United Nations.

Instructor & Team Leader: Ms. Sherry McAuliffe

Felicia is a senior at Wesley Chapel High School and plans to attend Florida State University in the fall. She enjoys swimming, watching movies, and writing. As an 18 year old, she also looks forward to voting, current politics, and traveling. Felicia plans to pursue a degree in political science and a career in law.

Katie, 15, is a homeschooled 10th-grader. She enjoys playing tennis for a local high school. She also plays guitar, piano, mandolin, and violin, and she sings for a local chorus. She is involved in her church and is looking to combine her love for God and of biology into her future career.

Ashley is a homeschooled 16 year old in her sophomore year of high school. Outside of school, Ashley enjoys various forms of martial arts. Her areas of interests are history, diplomacy, and reading, and she looks forward to utilizing these in a future career.

Special Thanks:

In the News...
What Condoleeza Rice had to say about Doors to Diplomacy:     "I have a challenge for all students who are interested in diplomacy and the work of the State Department. In partnership with Global SchoolNet, we are sponsoring the "Doors to Diplomacy" contest—an educational challenge to middle and high school students around the world to produce web projects that teach others about the importance of international affairs and diplomacy."
