Christmas is a festival celebrated by Christians all over the world, that falls on the 25th of December. This festival is to mark the birth of Jesus Christ, who Christians belive is the son of the one God and Mary the Virgin.
At this time, Christians sometimes go to church, or buy Christmas presents for each other. On Christmas day, for dinner it is traditional to have turkey, but now it is common to have goose as well!!
 People can also get Christmas trees, (fir  trees) that they decorate with colourful tinsel,  baubles and Christmas lights.
 The tale that is told to young children on  Christmas eve features a large, jolly old man  in red and white who carries a large sack of  presents for cildren who have been good!!  The presents that are presented on  Christmas Day (See what I did!!!) are a result of the previous years bribery.

At this festival, giving is more important than 
recieving, but recieving is so much more fun! The
warm fuzzy feeling you get in your stomach is
 matched with the brand new items you have in
your lap!
