Q: What is the healing  process?

A:

  • Wash your hand well with soap and water
  • Examine the cut. If it is bleeding, apply direct pressure with clean bandage or towel until the bleeding stops.
  • If the bleeding doesn't stop, then you should see a doctor (emergency room).

    Q: How do i know the cut is healing?
    A: If you keep the area clean, the chance of an infection is low.

    Q: What do i use to keep the wound clean?
    A: Use a source of water and pat it softly then apply antibiotic ointment (Neosporin).

    Q: How do I avoid getting stung?

    • Avoid fragrances, including hairspray, scented soaps, lotions, and oils.
    • Don't wear brightly colored clothing, particularly floral patterns, when in areas with many insects.

    1. HOLD STILL.
    2. DO NOT SWIPE- IT WILL FRIGHTEN THE BEE INTO STINGING. Also when you know that you will be in a area that bees are possibly going to be, be sure to have on shoes and a hat.

    If you are stung:
  • Remove stinger as soon as possible. use your fingers or tweezers.
  • Wash the site with soap and water or clean it with alcohol.
  • Put ice or a cool, wet compression the inflamed area.
  • Soothe the inflammation with a paste made from baking soda and water.
  • Apply calamine lotion to help relieve itching and pain.
